We understand that our customers furnish sensitive information in the course of our daily business, and LendZen Inc. is committed to treating such information responsibly. LendZen Inc. will take all the necessary steps to safeguard sensitive information that has been entrusted to us by our customers. The following privacy policy and disclosure outlines our company's practice regarding personally identifiable financial information for mortgage customers and consumers.
Consumer Rights
Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information is collected, how it's used, and to whom it's disclosed.
Right to Delete: You can request the deletion of their personal information.
Right to Opt-Out: You can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information.
Right to Correct: You can request corrections to inaccurate personal information.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: In California, you can restrict the use of sensitive personal information, such as precise geolocation, financial information, or biometric data.

Types of Information We Collect
At LendZen Inc. we collect nonpublic, personal information about you from various sources, including the following:
- Information we receive from you on applications and in your communications to us, whether in writing, in person, by telephone or any other means
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others
- Information we receive from a third party such as a consumer reporting agency or credit bureau

Use of Information
At LendZen Inc. we collect nonpublic, personal information about you from various sources, including the following:
We request information from you for our own legitimate business purposes and not for the benefit of any non-affiliated party. Therefore, we will not release your information to a non-affiliated party except: (1) as necessary for us to provide the products or services you requested; or (2) as permitted by law.
In the past 12 months LendZen Inc. has shared and intends to share in the future, information with non-affiliated third parties in the following circumstances:
- to obtain title and escrow services for your transaction
- fraud prevention services
- credit reporting and analysis
- appraisal and other property-related services, such as pest inspections and surveys
- income and/or asset verification relevant to your transaction
- legal services relating to your transaction
- regulatory reporting such as HMDA, which enforces fair lending practices
We may disclose personal information if we believe such disclosure is in accordance with any legal requests by public authorities or government agencies to meet compliance or law enforcement requirements.
Opting Out
LendZen Inc. has not in the past 12 months, nor intends in the the future to sell your information. Should this policy change, you will be notified of such policy change and provided of a method for opting out of the sharing or selling of your information.
Record Retention
LendZen Inc. will not retain your personal information for longer than is reasonably necessary to carry out the purposes as disclosed in this privacy policy.
Financial Incentive Disclosure
California's privacy law requires that we notify you if we provide you a program, benefit, or other offering, related to the collection, deletion, or sale of personal information, which it defines as a “financial incentive.” LendZen has not, in the past 12 months, nor intends to in the future, offer such a program with a "financial incentive".
Safeguarding Personal Information
LendZen Inc. has implemented physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the personal information in our possession and to guard against unauthorized access.
These include, among other things, procedures for controlling access to customer files, building security programs and information technology security measures such as the use of passwords, encryption and firewalls, plus virus and use detection software.
When physical documentation is applicable, all files and personal information are stored in locked file cabinets. Storage units are locked and only management is in possession of keys for access. Paper documents that contain sensitive information are shredded at time of disposal, either onsite or via a vetted shredding service provider.
Digital data is stored in secure cloud servers and is fully deleted and overwritten once it is no longer required for business purposes.
Sensitive data transmissions via email or web portal are encrypted and/or password-protected, and external access occurs over a secure VPN.
Employees are trained on the importance of confidentiality and sensitive data handling procedures, and employee access to data is limited based on role-level permissions.
We will continue to assess new safeguard technology as it becomes available and upgrade our physical and electronic security systems as appropriate.
Children's Privacy
LendZen Inc. does not direct its products and services to minors. We do not knowingly request or receive information from minors.
